Saturday 18th May saw the 10th Anniversary of our Pirates Charity Premiere supporting Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
The Pirates Charity Premiere had raised over 600,000€ for GOSH over the last 9 years and all the money raised goes directly to Great Ormond Street Hospital for the essential redevelopment of the hospital. The new facilities will enable the hospital to treat more children and give researchers and clinical staff the resources they need to develop new treatments.
This year we had 6 families from GOSH come to the island for a VIP week courtesy of Thompson. Joining us as guests of honour at the Pirates Charity Premiere along with this year's wonderful celebrities who included Eastenders stars Steve McFadden, Barbara Windsor and Cheryl Fergisson. The Only Way Is Essex beauty Lydia Bright, and one of the island's favourite celebrities Claire Sweeney.
This 10th year anniversary of Pirates Charity Premiere this event was even more special, giving our guests truly spectacular night of incredible entertainment and fun whilst raising money for such a heart felt worthy cause. The event was a huge success raising €32,489.36 making a total of €714,679.41 over the last 10 years.
We are extremely proud to have been associated with this fantastic event over the last 2 years, and we are looking forward to many more years of fun and fundraising on behalf of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

We would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at Pirates to thank you for your generous support for our 2013 Charity Premiere. It was a wonderful evening made all the more special by the presence of a group of deserving children from Great Ormond Street Hospital.
This year we managed to raise 32,489.36€, which in these times is still a fantastic amount of money.
Over the past 10 years with your help we have now raised 714,679.41€.
We are truly proud of what has been achieved to date, however it simply would not be possible for us to stage such a grand event and raise such a staggering amount of money without the fantastic support we have received from all quarters. We are immensely grateful to all and look forward to calling on your support again in 2014.
On behalf of everyone at Pirates and GOSH, once again, thank you.
